About the Liturgical Calendar

Liturgical Seasons

  • Mone

  • This season, named “Remaining,” encompasses the first four months of the liturgical year. While this is the New Year’s celebration it is also a time for internal spiritual work with one’s divinities. This season is especially associated with the pre-essential Demiurge.

  • Prohodos

  • The season of “Procession” includes the second four months of the liturgical calendar. Procession moves us away from internal work toward spiritual work in the world and our work to remember our soul’s true nature. This season is especially associated with the celestial Demiurge.

  • Epistrophe

  • Epistrophe is the season of “Reversion” to its divine leaders and is especially associated with the sub-lunar Demiurge. This season consists of the third four months of the liturgical calendar.

  • Henosi

  • The season of “Union” only occurs during the embolismic month of Nekrodegmonion. It is a time of deep contemplation on our leader god and personal daimon.

Liturgical Months

  • Phyxiosion

  • The month of “Banishing,” this month reflects the time of subduing of primal chaos in order for creation to occur.

  • Horephorosion

  • The “Bringer of Seasons,” this month encapsulates the divine power of, or potential for, movement from the higher to the lower.

  • Ouliosion

  • The month of the “Sound of Health,” Ouliosion is the reflection of the harmonious goodness of the divine.

  • Escharaion

  • The month of the “Hearth.” This month represents both religious activity centered on the divine and the solid foundation of life as found in the divine.

  • Ennosigaision

  • The “Shaker of the Earth,” this month reminds of us the destruction necessary for new creation.

  • Antheiaion

  • Antheiaion is the month of “Blooming.” This is the movement of life that has left the divine realm to move into incarnation so it may understand itself and its place in creation.

  • Philomeidesion

  • The “Laughter Loving” month, Philomeidesion teaches us of the Necessity, or Fate, and Providence. how they are related to one another, and how the soul may harmonize one with the other.

  • Soteiraion

  • The month of the “Savior.” Soteiraion reminds us of the end goal of the soul, to become like God, so far as possible, and the pneumatic vehicle of the soul which takes us from generation to the divine realm.

  • Polyphronion

  • Polyphronion is the month of the “Inventive” and “Very Wise.” At this time we recall another goal of the soul, to engage in the work of the Divine Craftsman who forges creation

  • Agrotereion

  • The month of the “Hunt” is the month of the movement of life in the generative realm towards our divine home. Here we are reminded that, ultimately, no one gets out of this life alive.

  • Diaktorosion

  • Diaktorosion is the month of the “Messanger” and “Guide.” This month commemorates those voices of the divine: philosophers, the personal daimons, clergy, and, of course, our leader deities. These are the voices which lead us home.

  • Khrysopelexion

  • This is the month of the “Golden Helm,” which is a reflection of the brilliance of the sun, though not the sun itself. This brilliance protects and perfects the soul as it transitions from physical to a purely spiritual life on its journey to unity with its divine source.

  • Nekrodegmonion

  • Nekrodegmonion, the month of the “Receiver of the Dead,” is an embolismic month which occurs only once every few years as the lunar and solar cycles move out of alignment. This month enshrines the sub-lunar Demiurge but also reflects the death which comes with initiation as we ascend to the celestial Demiurge.
